The process and customer service is ok. The problem is once you are approved and all federal boxes have been checked, still waiting over 3 business days before they ship your item is ridiculous. Why would I buy from them again, having to wait more time than necessary, when I could buy local and pick it up same day I’m approved?!? For my approval to come in at 8am on a Thursday, and it is now Monday evening and my item still has not shipped is beyond acceptable. Now I have to wait for it to be shipped to my state, then have to wait for it to be shipped to me. By the time I receive it, it’s going to be more than likely 2 weeks since I was approved. Will not purchase through them again for this reason.
This is the second purchase I have made from Silencer Central. The sale went smoothly. However, there are two points that buyers must know. First, SC automatically pads the sale by charging $9.95 plus tax for a fingerprint card kit, even as they already have your original fingerprints on file and use them to submit the ATF application. The second set of cards is not needed and is simply a way for SC to increase their profit on a sale. Second, it has now been 7 days since I received ATF approval of my application and SC has yet to ship my suppressor from their warehouse to their designated state shipping center. So, after waiting for over 3 weeks for ATF to approve your application, do NOT expect a quick turnaround by SC to get your suppressor to you even if it has been completely paid. By the way, when I inquired about the shipping, Customer Service responded "... today or tomorrow ...". That was 3 days ago and still no shipment.
