While I had a very pleasant experience here, there was a very rude male employee literally talking behind my back loud enough for me to here him. He decided to feel the need to announce the whole world questioning why I came here late, where was I all this time, and the store was about to close. That's a fantastic way to shame and humiliate a customer who was already trying to hurry up, which certainly didn't help at all. Just unfairly judging me without knowing about me or what I went through. That was uncalled for and very unprofessional. The reason why I was late because I take public transportation (public bus and Decatur move) and the timing of arrival is out of my control. I didn't choose to be carelessly or purposely late; I cannot control that as that's entirely dependent on public transportation. At first, I came her by Decatur Move to pawn some items so someone told me I was missing chargers so I had to wait for a bus to come pick me up; I waited several what seemed like lol ng minutes before an inbound bus told me I missed the outbound bus and I had to get on the outbound bus, which made several stop and then I arrived at the bus station. Then I had to take a bus back home. Of course that took quite some time. Then, I arrive home to gather my stuff and went outside to the bus stop in my neighborhood and waited for the bus, only for it to turn out it already passed. So I booked a Decatur Move first time and I had to wait 46 min. And then I tried several times and got a successful ride. So of course I had to wait for several minutes again. Then I get in the car and it went to a destination to pick up someone who was taking their sweet precious time to get it. The driver had to drop off the other passenger to their destination and I finally, albeit barely, arrived on time. So there's your answer, dude. That's why I arrived late and that's where I was all this time. Maybe you shouldn't judge someone because you don't know what situation they're in or what they are going through in life. You think I wanted to be late? Especially on purpose? I don't have the luxury or privilege of owning or driving a car. Luckily, there were DECENT employees who reassured me I was fine and made it on time. As expected (wasn't my first time), the selling process was a bit lengthy. Even a female employee questioned me who was picking me up as I was out waiting for Decatur Move (I told her it was that). Sometimes it's better to keep your mouth closed till after work or when you're not around customers. I won't be going back as long as he's there. Update: I have settled the problem with the Manager Liz and everything is all good :) I want to thank Liz for helping me out with dealing with that situation, I truly appreciate it. I went through a rough time because of that incident. It didn't help that there was an incident before (which I deploy apologize for. Unfortunately that's who she is). I apologized to Liz for contacting her late due school as I am a college student with loads of work. I have been here multiple times for years and I recognize and know many of the employees well enough to know they are nice and respectful people. It was just a ride employee I didn't recognize or know. I am updating this review to reflect the change because I don't think it's fair not too. I do genuinely like coming here and shopping or selling things. This is actually a great place to get good items! My mother and I actually bought several items from here. Also, sorry for the long review! Edit: Forgot to mention this but I will continue to shop here!

Perry and his team have always provided amazing customer service! They are very efficient and make sure your always taken care of. I have been a returning customer for years now and I refuse to go anywhere else. Especially when it comes to gold and silver. The value of service and product cannot compare with similar establishments. I highly recommend Decatur Jewelry and Pawn to all of my friends, family, and anyone looking for greatly quality of items and service!
